Bruce A Favret

From the day he first opened his law office over 40 years ago, Bruce’s passion was for helping people. When he started his practice, he handled the general legal problems his clients had. However, he found that he most enjoyed helping his clients with their estate planning needs, such as preparing their wills, helping them select guardians and executors, and determining how to best distribute assets to their beneficiaries.
The more wills and trusts he prepared, the more referrals he received. Most all of his business has come from referrals from his existing clients, financial advisors, bankers and other lawyers. He gradually phased out his general practice and now, for the past three decades, Bruce has limited his practice to handling only wills, trusts, probate and estate planning. He is licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky.
Bruce is one of fewer than 200 attorneys in Ohio who have taken and passed the specialty examination and has been certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in wills, trusts and probate law. (Kentucky does not certify specialties in legal fields.)
Bruce understands that each client has unique needs and concerns. His passion for helping people shines through because he takes the time to learn about his clients and their families. He explains estate and probate law in simple, understandable terms. He helps his clients with their goals and objectives and he explains the pros and cons of the various options available to accomplish those goals. In addition, the knowledge and experience learned from his general practice of his early years has proven very beneficial to his estate planning practice. Knowing the real estate law and domestic relations procedures provides extra insight into overall estate planning.
He strives to provide quality service in a friendly, timely, and cost-effective manner. Bruce has helped hundreds of clients and families and he can help you with your unique needs.
Bruce is married to a retired hospice nurse. He has three grown daughters (a teacher, an attorney, and a nurse) and eight grandchildren. Bruce has run numerous full and half marathons. Now, when he is not in the office, he enjoys spinning and other exercise classes. In addition, he is always working on some home improvement project

Liz Favret

Liz is an attorney who practices exclusively in estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate administration. Her path to becoming an attorney was not a straight line, but each experience shaped the thoughtful, client-centered way she practices today.
After earning her psychology degree from Ohio University, Liz joined the Peace Corps and spent two years teaching English in a small town in western Ukraine. Following her service, she decided to pursue law and attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law on a full tuition, merit based scholarship. Liz graduated second in her class and earned a federal judicial clerkship with the Honorable Michael J. Newman in Dayton, Ohio. She then passed the California bar exam and moved to San Diego, where she worked in civil litigation, gaining experience researching and drafting complex documents.
Although she learned a lot working in a big law firm, Liz did not feel like she was really helping real people and making a difference. She decided to return to Cincinnati and joined her dad, Bruce, in his practice. She learned about estate planning, trusts, and probate, the best way possible – through years of watching him work closely with clients, draft thoughtful plans, and guide families through every step of the probate process. She gradually built her own client base, and today, she and her dad work individually with their respective clients, while continuing to collaborate as needed.
Liz feels fortunate to have a career she genuinely enjoys. She loves getting to know her clients, hearing their stories, and helping them find peace of mind through thoughtful planning. When assisting clients as executors or trustees, she strives to be a steady, practical resource during an emotional and often overwhelming time.
Outside the office, Liz spends most of her time with her two children and attending their activities. An avid runner, she has completed more than 25 full marathons, as well as two half Ironman triathlons. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends whenever possible.
